I Believe
The weekend was awesome. My first Mardi Gras couldn't have been more perfect. I had such a strong feeling of gay pride for probably the first time in my life, as I watched the parade.
"I love my gay sister in-law" was a sign held by one man. Tear.
One boy in the parade was topless and had writing scrawled over his chest, he was representing the Cronulla float.
"Don't bash Lebo's, pash Lezzo's"
The parade was mixed with so many different people. I was surrounded by a group of Anglo-hetero young adults, a group of mixed raced lesbians, an Asian family with a young boy, and the token gay couple. We were peaceful. I was comfortable.
