Rich Son, Poor Son
My father came back from overseas a few weeks ago, and moving out of home only a few days before his return, he has since offered much appreciated advice. Before his departure (back to saving the world from evil reign) he presented me with a book which he wanted me to read and comment upon. I have yet to finish it, only last night really taking the time to pick it up and give it a good reading session. Entitled 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad - What the rich tell their kids about money - that the poor and middle class do not!' it gives an insight into how to approach money and how that approach can change your organisation of money.
Approaching the book with an initial cynical outlook...'another-attempt-of-my-father-to-teach-me-that-all-my-choices-are-somewhat-wrong'...my cynicism was proved justified upon reading the book dedication:
This book is dedicated to all parents everywhere, a child's most important teachers.
Having to brace myself for what could be the most humiliating read ever, I began the introduction and continued through. For the first few pages it shocked me, as it had contradicted everything I had been taught in terms of how to get rich. The book was banishing the concept of studying and finding a secure job. So far, it fits me to a tee. Is it wrong for me to be immediately cynical?

"By the time I realise my father was right, my son says I am wrong."
A father who wishes his father's son and grand son were right all the times.
